HIA UPDATE – March 27, 2020
City of Minneapolis HIA Public Hearing Letter-UPDATED
The City of Minneapolis will be mailing an HIA Public Hearing letter to Summit House residents as soon as they determine how they will hold the required public hearing with the current COVID-19 Pandemic. The Public Hearing will be a time for homeowners to make comments. There will be no question/answer session.
Summit House Resident Units-Fan Coil Replacement Schedule*

Typical Work Sequence in Units*
Plastic room protection installed and cabinet removal
Fan coil unit removal
Wall board removal for piping access
Abatement
Cable removal
Removal of existing pipes
New electrical rough-in
New piping rough-in
New controls rough-in
Testing and inspections
Pipe insulation
Wall replacement and patching
Install and connect fan coil unit
Prime paint new wall section
New cabinetry installation
Removal of plastic room protection
*Please Note: Many of these activities will be completed during the same day/week to reduce the time spent in each unit. After cabinet installation the homeowner will be able to paint/wallpaper. Association is responsible for replacement of walls. Homeowner is responsible for any wall finishes.
* Pending additional updates, all in-unit work has been suspended until further notice because of COVID-19 and we will keep homeowners updated regularly involving any contemplated changes based on CDC and State-mandated guidelines.
HIA Petitions-8 More Needed-Please
Please be informed that Summit House is currently has 87% in HIA Petitions of HIA support. We would really like to go into the HIA Public Hearing Meeting with 90% in support. We’re asking everyone who supports HIA and has not turned in a petition to please do so. The petition can be dropped off at the office, emailed to christine.paben@fsresidential.com or texted to Doug Strandness at 651-4027824. Thank you!
